Dragon Mist Tidbit Of The Day #1

Dragons are not native to the Trynarr system, the multi-star planetary system at the heart of the Worlds of the Dragon Mist. They originate from a separate planar universe. The gateway between our plane and theirs, known as the Dragon Rift, lies hidden within a vast, dark cloud mass at the very center of Trynarr.

Scholars and historians call this cloud The Cendith, a name it bore long before the Dragon Rift was opened. In more recent times, however, common folk have taken to calling it The Dragon Mist. Once each year, when one of the three major planets passes through the cloud, the land below is shrouded in a heavy, dark mist. It is during this brief and ominous alignment that dragons are able to cross between worlds, coming and going as they please.

The Dragon Mist Logo

Dragon Mist Icon
Here is the logo I created for the Dragon Mist RPG.

The similarity to the Yin-Yang symbol is not a coincidence. A lot of Fantasy genre tales and games revolve around struggles between forces of good and evil, and have some theme of duality. Personally, I like triality. Many of the background themes in my game will revolve around things that are divisible by three.

While I will try to avoid doing things in pairs and keep duality at bay, I realize that this may, sometimes, be impossible. I will try to follow this triality way of thinking mostly with the background stories.

And so, The Beginning (again)

25 years ago, I started building a world inspired by Lucas, Tolkien, and my early days as a Dungeon Master. Around the time D&D 3rd Edition dropped, I began crafting my own RPG—but I quickly realized my real passion was the lore, the setting, and the stories that made it breathe.

I’ve worked on it off and on ever since, with some long breaks. It’s been a while… but I’m returning to the world I call Worlds of the Dragon Mist.

Expect strange histories, forgotten maps, tangled pantheons, and story-rich corners still waiting to be lit.
