About

What is this Blog Site for?

Over 25 years ago, I began building a world inspired by the mythic depth of Tolkien, the cinematic scope of Lucas, and my early days as a Dungeon Master. Around the time D&D 3rd Edition was released, I started crafting my own RPG system, but I quickly realized that my true passion lay in the lore, the setting, and the stories that made the world breathe.

Since then, I’ve worked on this universe off and on, with long breaks in between. There were stretches, sometimes months at a time when I didn’t touch it at all. At one point, the game mechanics evolved into something I no longer recognized or enjoyed, so I scrapped the system entirely. Other times, the background story drifted in directions I didn’t want it to go. All of this has made the journey a long one.

Now, I’ve returned to the world I call Worlds of the Dragon Mist. I’m no longer focused on designing game mechanics. Instead, I’m building out the world itself, content that could support an RPG system, or serve as the backdrop for a short story, novella, or full-length novel.

This blog is where I’ll share updates, ideas, and fragments of inspiration. It’s partly for anyone curious about the process, and partly to keep myself motivated. Even if keeping a journal feels cumbersome at times, I’m hopeful it will help me stay focused and finally bring this world to life.

Expect strange histories, forgotten maps, tangled pantheons, and story-rich corners still waiting to be lit.
